I have 5.5 friends. Not just people I’ve met in passing, but actual friends who I can call about grabbing a drink, going skiing, hiking, tubing, etc.
Not gonna lie, I kinda like it. I was just starting to miss the hustle and bustle of a big city social life.
I spent the weekend skiing, playing, and going out with 5 of my 5.5 friends.
I met 2 of my new friends on Friday night while out at a bar with Annie. Note about Annie, she and I were in the same training class in early December and she pretty much rocks. She just moved stateside after living in New Zealand the last 3 years and has the goofiest, most sarcastic personality; plus she is down for just about anything, which I love.
Anyway, Annie and I went out Friday night for a low-key dinner at Dos Locos and it turned into an epic night out, complete hugs from a 200 lb dog named Luca (best hug I’ve had in a LONG time), hanging with Dos’ #1 server Matt, dancing at The Goat, and finishing the night off with a nightcap at my new friend, Arnold’s, apartment above The Goat (Aunt Sharon, you’re right. I totally washed my shoes after leaving The Goat.)
I “shredded” (makes me sound like a local huh?) all day Saturday and Sunday with Matt, the server from Dos, and a few of his buddies, Jason and Jared. All three are really cool guys; and while I love hitting the slopes with just the company of my tunes, it was blast to be out with friends.
Back to the grind tomorrow. Zumiez is in town with 1000+ of their top salespeople for a 4 day rendezvous in Keystone. It’s gonna be a long day!
