I can always count on the men in my life to kick my butt into high gear. Whether it’s skiing, sailing, biking (blargh), running, slack-lining (um, sorry doing flips on the slack-line) doing my taxes, chiding me to stop whining about the other men in my life, convincing me not to buy a dog while living in the city, you name it. Today was no different.
I spent the better part of the day over in Breck bonding with Erik. We skied, we chatted, we laughed, and he tricked me into hiking Peak 7 (note, it’s not a small climb…). Although skiing is always great–especially with five fluffy fresh inches!–and the views are always enough to take your breath away, the best part of the day was the fact that I got to catch up with E.
Growing up, being the big sister to two pesky little brothers seemed like such a drag. Luckily I’ve wizened up in my old age and I’ve come to realize that I have it made. Two dudes (three if we are counting fab dads 🙂 ) that are my built in support system, have no choice but to hang with me–and luckily seem to be ok with that…phew!, and are up for playing outside any day of the week.
Can’t wait to shred with Tommy Moe in CB in just a few weeks!!
