St. Paddy’s Day Somethings

17 Mar

1) Happy St. Patrick’s Day! May the luck ‘o the Irish be with you!

2) March is definitely coming in like a lion. Keystone has had 24″ of snow since March 1 and is expecting several more storms to roll through this week.

3) Didja know that the 40lbs of dye used to color the Chicago River green is actually orange when it’s initially dumped into the river?

4) 2-for-1s are back! The Ski Tip Lodge and the Keystone Ranch will both be offering 2-for-1 specials in early April. Stay tuned for exact dates…

5) There are conflicting reports about whether or not Chicago was the first city to dye it’s river green in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Allegedly, Savannah restaurant manager, Tom Woolley, convinced Savannah city officials to dye their river green for the holiday and Woolley personally passed the idea on to Mayor Daley. I don’t buy it. #CHIrishforever
