Halloween has come and gone. Opening weekend has come and gone. And ski season is officially in full swing. With three Summit County mountains open and ready for shredding (with another on the way!), the high country was HOPPIN’ this weekend. And by hoppin’, I mean Keystone was in full anthill mode.
Employee passes were blacked out on Friday and Saturday, but we hit the hill this morning for a few runs before work. I would love to say that the anthill had dispersed by the time we loaded the gondola, but that would be a lie.
Props to Ski Patrol for keeping everyone in line up there today. Either way, the sun was out, the snow was fresh (ish…), and the smell of Swix was lingering in the cool mountain air. It was good. Ok better than good, it was rad.
And we can’t forget about Halloween. Here is a glimpse at our attempt at dressing up as characters from the hit TV show, Duck Dynasty
. Alas, about 10 minutes into the evening, I misplaced my duck call, Andrew’s, oh I mean WIllie Robertson’s, wig got too hot, and Abbey’s hunting vest turned into something closer to a hunting diaper. Oh well. Hope you had a spooky Halloween!
